He was predeceased by: his wife Mary E. Walsh (Washburn) of Woburn; his parents, Elizabeth Walsh (Gilgun) and Thomas F. Walsh; and his siblings, Rev. Thomas F, John "Jack" Walsh, Ann Driscoll and Patricia Giffune.

He is survived by: his children, Brian Walsh (Alyssa) of Burlington and Maureen Walsh Sakakeeny (Stephen) of North Andover. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
