He was predeceased by: his spouse Anne M. Foley; his parent John E. "Chester" Parsons Sr.; and his siblings, Joan, Edward, Dorothy, Virginia, John Jr and William.
He is survived by: his parent Christina Gillis (McCormick); his spouse Anne Gillis (Foley); and his children, Joanne M. Whittaker (John) of Haverhill, Maureen A. McRae (Christopher) of Woburn, Kevin B. Gillis of Chelmsford and Brian E. Gillis of Woburn. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
