He was predeceased by: his father Aubrey James; and his siblings, Casilda James and Cesar James. He is survived by: his mother Serita Vanterpool James; his close friend Carol Levesque; his daughters, Denise James, Erika Winchester (Kenneth), Elisha James and Janelle James; his sisters, Marcella James, Juddy James and Gloria James; and his grandchildren, Ayanna Colon, Samara Winchester and Kenneth Winchester. He is also survived by his nephew and nieces, cousins, and many friends.
