He was predeceased by: his parent Lester Matheson; and his sibling Lawrence "Butch" Matheson. He is survived by: his parent Helen Matheson (Qualey); his wife Lee; his child John E. Matheson Jr.; his wife Karen of Medford; his grandchildren, Ryan Jensen, Alyssa Forestier, Arielle Mason, Bob Matheson Jr., Rachael Sparks, Tiffani Barry, Olivia Celona and Ava Celona; his great grandchildren, Carter, John, Anna, Joey, Gemma, Isabelle, Cameron, Michaela and Tyler; and also, Robert Matheson (Doreen) of Woburn, Debbie Anderson (Eric) of Woburn and Bonnie Barry of Woburn.
It has been requested that in lieu of flowers contributions may be made in John's memory to the American Parkinson Disease Assoc. 72 East Concord St., Room C3, Boston, MA 021180.
