He was predeceased by: his parents, Adeline Flynn (Wright) and Bartholomew Flynn; and his siblings, John Flynn (Jackie), Irene Barry, Helen Danbury, Frances Cummings, Robert Flynn (Bob), William Flynn (Bill), Donald Flynn and Peter Flynn.

He is survived by: his wife Jean Flynn (Golden); and his sons, David of Boston and Christopher (Daniel Newton) of Boston. He is also survived by extended family and many friends and neighbors.
