He was predeceased by: his sister Elizabeth McCarthy; and his parents, Lewis Long and Ruth Long (Creighton). He is survived by: his children, Anne-Michelle Doucette (Mark) of Utah, Joseph Long (Mary) of Wilmington, Michael Long (Heather) of Woburn and Matthew Long (Katie) of Woburn; his grandchildren, Aaron, Ryan, Emily, Hazel and Oliver; his great grandchildren, Lily and Finley; his wife Carol Long (O'Brien); and his brother Jimmy Long (Ingrid) of Melrose. He is also survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces.
