He was predeceased by: his father John A. Downey. He is survived by: his mother Mary T. Downey (Harkins) of Woburn; his children, Brian Downey (Sarah) of North Billerica, Kristen Fallon (Jared) of Woburn and Jason Downey of Woburn; and his siblings, Colleen Delano (Michael) of Woburn, Kathleen Driscoll (late John Driscoll, Jr.) of Billerica and Kevin Downey (Doreen) of Melrose. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Services will conclude with a memorial prayer service starting at 4 p. m. All attending must wear a face mask and adhere to social distancing protocols.
