She was predeceased by: her husband James M. "Jim" Flaherty; her parents, Patrick O'Brien and Catherine O'Brien (McCauley); and her siblings, Catherine Robinson, Mary Rossi, Philip O'Brien, Eileen Terrio and Robert O'Brien.
She is survived by: her children, Karen Flaherty of Woburn, Kevin Flaherty (Christie), Marybeth Flaherty of Woburn and Kenneth Flaherty (Clare) of Medford; her grandchildren, Patrick, Coady, Ryan, Mia, Tess, Declan and Niall; and her sister Joan Lavalle. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Therese's memory to the American Cancer Society.
