He was predeceased by: his father Gene Carter. He is survived by: his daughters, Sadeigh DeCastro of Worcester and Mercedes Balcewicz; his mother Maria DeCastro-Velazquez of New York City; his stepfather Ricardo Velazquez of New York City; his grandmother Leonor Cintron of Worcester; and his siblings, Jorge C. Henriquez of Queens, NY, Melissa E. Carter of New York, Angelica M. DeCastro of Worcester, Melanie DeCastro of Worcester and Carmen Ortiz of Worcester. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
