He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Maria Tranakas (Ziogas); his children, Nicholas Tranakas (Anna) of Fort Lauderdale and Meeka Bernier (Walter) of Brookfield; his siblings, Kosta Tranakas (Anna) of Zakynthos, Greece, Spiro Tranakas (Spiridoula) of Zakynthos, Greece, Dionysis Tranakas (Asimina) of Zakynthos, Greece, Aristea Notidis (Jimmy) of Worcester, Chrysanthe Maroudas (Dionysis) of Montreal and Katina Tranakas of Zakynthos, Greece; his grandchildren, Marie, Zoe, Anthony and Ileana; his brother Demetri Tranakas; and his parents, Nicholas Tranakas and Demetra Tranakas (Bizinti). He was also cherished by many nephews and nieces.
