He was predeceased by: his close friend Maria Angelica Collazo; and his brother Jose Cruz. He is survived by: his sons, Juan A. Cartegena of Colorado Springs, CO, Carlos R. Cruz, Sincere M. Cruz and Tristan J. Cruz; his parents, Ana M. Cruz and Jose Perez of Worcester; his stepmother Cheryl Perez of Worcester; and his siblings, Javier Peña of Sunderland, MA, David Perez of Worcester, Jason Merhib of Worcester, Tania Perez of Amherst, MA, Iliana Guivas of Webster and Keila Moreno of Wilbraham. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Social Distancing protocols and the use of face masks will be practiced at the funeral home and church.
