He is survived by: his wife Donna J. Hamalainen (Jackson); his children, Matthew C. Hamalainen and Sharon J. Guidaboni (Zachary) of Worcester; his brother Ralph Hamalainen (Mary); his brothers-in-law, Philip A. Jackson of Holden, Michael J. Jackson of Seoul and South Korea; and his parents, Ralph Hamalainen and Doris Bucknam. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Food for the Poor Program, 20 Temple Street, Worcester, MA 01604 or to the Bethany House, 1049 Main Street, Millis, MA 02054 (Bethanyhouseministries.org) which is a transition program supporting prisoners, ex-prisoners, and their families.
