She was predeceased by: her mother Mary E. Winsky; her stepfather Steven Winsky; her father Walter F. Shliapa; and her brother Walter F. Shliapa, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Richard M. Sandberg; her daughters, Melissa Haddad (Richard) of Hubbardston and Allyson Sandberg-Martin of Rutland; and her grandchildren, Kathleen, Lauren and Brody.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Christine's name to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
