He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo W. Saarinen and Lorenza Saarinen (Raboin); and his brother Leo J. He is survived by: his son Eric D. Saarinen of Boston, MA; and his sister-in-law Judith H. Saarinen of Coconut Creek, FL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many close friends.
