He was predeceased by: his siblings, Juan, Paula, Lydia, Luz, Miguel, Jose and Susana.
He is survived by: his parents, Evaristo Ortiz and Carmen Ortiz (Quintana); and his siblings, Evarista Ortiz Lopez, Carmen Ortiz Figueroa, Ana Ortiz, Maria Ortiz and Diego Ortiz. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
