He was predeceased by: his wife Selma L. Ruiz. He is survived by: his children, Juan C. Portalatin Ruiz of Worcester, Katty Sumter Portalatin of Myrtle Beach, SC, Elizabeth Rodas of Queens, NY, Yesenia Lopez of Worcester and Madeline Portalatin of Worcester; and his sister Isabel Portalatin of Myrtle Beach, SC. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren.
