He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Candida Rodriguez; his children, Carlos Rodriguez, Oscar Torres, Rosendo Mrquez, Sonia Torres, Berta Rodriguez and Josefina Torres; his grandchildren, Roxana Espinal, Ashley Torres, Nazen Espinal and Melany Espinal; and his parents, Rufino Merlos and Tiodora Rodriguez. He was also cherished by three brothers; a sister.
