He was predeceased by: his parent Martin E.. He is survived by: his parent Lucy Thornton (Basteri); his wife Judith A. Thornton (Hathaway); his children, Kathleen Brooks (Galen) of Stow, MA, Mary Rastauskas (Eric) of Haverhill, David Midgette (Joanie McCarty) of Port Monmouth, NJ and Jeffrey Donovan (Michelle) of Colorado; his grandchildren, Brenna, Aidan, Colin Duffey (Brooks), Liam, Rowan, Scarlett, Beatrix, Elliott Midgette, Charles Rastauskas and Daniel Rastauskas; and his sisters, Katherine Mignault, Diane Cortese, Jean Melanson, Joanie Drushella and Pat Underwood. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Martin's name may be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and/or the Worcester Food Bank – both organizations close to his heart.
