She was loved and cherished by many people including : her husband Howard Nelson; her sons, Jonathan Nelson of Oxford, MA and Matthew Nelson of Grafton, MA; and her parents, Lester Knox and Dorothy Knox Grenier. She was also cherished by four grandchildren, and nephews and nieces.
