He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Mary C. Crompton (Guerin); his children, David C. Crompton (Sandra), Michael R. Crompton and Brittany M. Plante (David) of Worcester; his sister Winifred Gendron (Alfred) of Worcester; his grandchildren, Matthew and Kayleigh Crompton; his siblings, Thomas Crompton and Marilyn; and his parents, Thomas A. and Marjorie Crompton (Johnson). He was also cherished by several nephews and nieces.
