He was predeceased by: his wife Lien Thi Hoang (Vu). He is survived by: his children, Ly Hoang Tran (Chi Tran), Bich Ngoc Hoang Vu (Hung Vu), Hong Hanh Hoang Tran (Hoang Tran), Hoa Le Tran (Dung Tran), Bao Quoc Hoang (Shannon Hoang), Huan Chuong Hoang (Thuy Hoang) and Doan Trang Hoang (Ken Boulanger); and his siblings, Hong Hoang and Hoi Hoang. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Our Lady of Vilna Church.
