He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George Nicholson and Sophia Nicholson; his wife Cornelia Downes Nicholson; his children, Alexandra Nicholson of New York City, Christopher D. Nicholson of Concord, Massachusetts and Hugh R. Nicholson of Chicago; his grandchildren, Caroline, Nicholas Silber of Los Angeles, Samuel, Tadeo and True Nicholson of Concord; and his sisters, Frosine Spicer of Noank and Maria Murphy of Ellsworth. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
