She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Dewey May and Lucy Viola May (Davis); her husband William Rufus Roop; her daughter Judith Gum; her siblings, Ford May, Sarah Bealefield and Esther Moretz; and her daughter-in-law Viola Roop.
She is survived by: her children, Robert Roop, William Roop, Carolyn Bartosch, Nancy Harvey and Susan Pino. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a large extended family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to a Veteran's organization of the donor's choice.
