Patty Ann Childs Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Patty Ann Childs (Kingwood, West Virginia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 8, 2025 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Patsy Rochelle Costello and Josephine Marie Gribble; her grandparents, Thomas, Rose Zuchowski, Gaetino and Filomena Costello; and her sisters, Jackie Gribble and Tammy Marin.
She is survived by: her husband Ronald Glenn Childs; her children, Melissa DeLauder (Robert) of Terra Alta, WV, Jeanna Nasser (Bob) of Yorktown, VA and Rodney Childs (Shannon) of Hampstead, MD.; her grandchildren, Robert "Bobcat" DeLauder, Triston Brady (Bree'Anna), Corey Brady, George DeLauder, Kaleb Brady and Christian Childs; her great grandchildren, Delilah Adkins, Milo Brady and Ellianna Brady; her grandson Zeke; her children, Baileigh, Colton and Sage; her half-siblings, Rick Costello (Pam), Dave Gribble (Tracy), Jacqueline McNair (Todd), Percy Riffle (Carol), Mark Costello (Amy), Eric Costello (Tracy), Patsy Sayers (Patrick), Stephanie Lipscomb (David) and Felicia Taylor (James); her aunts and uncles, Harry Zuchowski (Barb), Faye Zuchowski, Pat Zuchowski (Liz), Trudy Zuchowski, Helena Brant and Shelby Costello; her siblings-in-law, Dale Childs (Martha), Jean Murphy (John) and Mary Ellen Turner; and her caregiver Elaine Nohe. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A Mass will be held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church (1450 Abingdon Rd, Abingdon, MD 21009). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sunset Memorial Gardens (17936 Veterans Memorial Hwy, Kingwood, WV 26537).
