He was predeceased by: his parents, David Phillips and Ruth Phillips; his brother Walter D. Phillips; and his aunts and uncles, Paula P. Shaner, Irene Leland, John Dawson and Charles Dawson.
He is survived by: his nephews, John D. (Mary Ann), Charles W., Michael S. (Martha) and Kevin J. Phillips; his great-nephew David S. Phillips; his aunt Alice P. Loughry; and his uncles, Edward Dawson and Frederick Dawson.
