He was predeceased by : his father George Brown; his daughter Kimberly; and his sibling Tracy Brown. He is survived by : his mother Ann Colbert; his children, Malik, Yanni, Chas and Kim Jr.; his grandchildren, Davanti, Mason, Laila, Rhylee, Zaine, Yuri, Arden and Omni; his siblings, Thirise Brown (Michael), Terry Brown, Tony Brown, Constance Turner, Reginald Brown (Charlene), Ann Green, Sandra Brown, George Brown, Jr., Steven Brown and Tanjala Brown (Demond); and his goddaughters, Jasmine Stokes, Nickole McGuire and Tonja Smith. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 3rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mt. Moriah African Methodist Episcopal Church (2204 Bay Ridge Ave, Annapolis, MD 21403). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 3rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, May 3rd 2024 at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens (1911 Forest Dr, Annapolis, MD 21401).
