He was predeceased by : his parents, Emanuel Tongue Sr. and Elizabeth Brown Sharps. He is survived by : his wife Kathleen Tongue; his children, Charles Tongue, Gerard Hyman and Willnika Tongue; his grandchildren, Terrin and Zayden Hyman; his siblings, Emanuel Tongue, Francis Sharps (Helen), Vivian Dorsey, Geraldine Poole (Richard), Belinda Weldon, Charlotte Sharps, Dorothy Jones, Beatrice Tongue and Marion Jones; his siblings-in-law, Paul Gray, Stanley Gray (Barbara), Donald Gray (Janene), Dorothy Gray, Alice Gray, Sandra Herndon, Ora Fields and Pamela Hyman (Theodore); and his cousins, Karen Brown and Michael Tasker Sr..
Viewing was held on Friday, January 15th 2021 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Empowering Believers Church (7566 E Howard Rd, Glen Burnie, MD 21061). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 15th 2021 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 15th 2021 at the John Wesley United Methodist Church (962 Generals Hwy, Crownsville, MD 21032). Due to COVID-19 pandemic, and State regulations, in-person attendance at the funeral service will be limited.
