She is survived by: her children, Alvera C. Stokes-Johns, Dorothy Banks (Samuel), Thelma Shields, Celestine Parker and Tyrone Shields; her sister Mable McKee Pittman; her grandchildren, Lachelle (Eugene), Sharvon (Tim), Corey (Dawn), Samantha, Kevin (Tonya), William (LaKeisha), Sharon (Lloyd), Quwanda, Andre, Qutrya, Lance, DaKera, DeQuan, Darryl and Shakera (Anthony); and her children-in-law, Marvenia Shields and William Brandford. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.
