Bankim was predeceased by: spouse Hemangini Vaishnav (Nanavati); and sibling Bharat Vaishnav. Bankim is survived by: children, Rajal Mankad (Keyoor), Manali Vaishnav and Rina Rhyne (Randall); grandchildren, Nathan Mankad and Saanvi Rhyne; and siblings, Niru Desai and Piyush Vaishnav. Bankim is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
