He was predeceased by: his wife Veronica A. Rhein; and his sister Vera Blake. He is survived by: his children, Frank Rhein, Cecilia Smith, Gregory Rhein and Michael Rhein; and his sisters, Claire Strassner and Miriam Sorrell. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
