He was predeceased by: his sisters, Esther Alpert, Rita Herbst and Mildred Cooperstein; and his parents, Sarah Cooperstein and Emanuel Cooperstein.

He is survived by: his daughters, Ronda Joyce Cooperstein and Susan Beth Schreier (Harold); his grandchildren, Roger Asnen (Nathalie), Jeremy Schreier, Arianne Schreier, Elias Al-Najjar (Sara) and Gabriel Al-Najjar; and his great grandchildren, Calvin Stanley Asnen and Talia Al-Najjar.
