He was predeceased by: his siblings, William, Frances Fell and Annamae Russell. He is survived by: his wife Catherine M. Keenan; his children, James I. Keenan, III (Audrey), Mary F. Keenan and Siobhan R. Keenan; and his grandchild Kaileena Keenan.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Loyola Blakefield High School, 500 Chestnut Avenue, Towson, MD 21204.
