It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan C. Wertheimer (Baltimore, Maryland), born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on March 26, 2020, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Samuel Tonkonogy and Sadie Held Tonkonogy; her spouse Gunther Wertheimer; her children, Joan, Debra Wertheimer (Baltimore, MD), Susan Wertheimer David of Philadelphia, PA, Samuel Wertheimer of New York, NY and Pelle Wertheimer (Baltimore, MD); and her sister Edith Darvick. She was also cherished by her four children, ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
