He was predeceased by: his parent John Joseph Buckley Jr.; and his son John Joseph Buckley IV. He is survived by: his parent Catherine M. Buckley (DeFelice) of Bel Air; his wife Shirley Bahr; his siblings, Timothy Lewis Buckley, Kathleen Brady and Rosemarie Miller; and his granddaughter Maryah Buckley.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a memorial account established for his granddaughter.
