He was predeceased by: his wife Dolores L. Schafer. He is survived by: his stepson Jann Weaver (Grace); his grandsons, Nathanial, Benjamin and Josh; and his stepgrandchildren, Jeffrey and Ashley. He is also survived by seven step-great grandchildren.
