He was predeceased by: his parent John Baxter Vinson, Sr.; his wives, Doris L. Vinson and Dorothy M. Vinson; his siblings, Robert Vinson, Charles Vinson, Emma Lou Erwin, Katherine Hamrick, Elizabeth Cearley and Mary Gregory; and his son Richard L. Vinson.
He is survived by: his parent Mae Belle Conley Vinson; and his children, John D. Vinson of Shrewsbury, PA, James A. Vinson of Felton, PA, Joseph O. Vinson of Albany, NY and Susan K. Stevens of Franklin, NC. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
