It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Louis D. Omar (Baltimore, Maryland), who passed away on May 31, 2019, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Betsil and Lucinda Betsil of Brevard; and his wife Pearlie Mae Peterson (Aaliyah N. Omar). He is survived by: his children, Khadijah, Tarikah, Akrom, Abdul, Effat and Ilyasiah Betsill Omar; his brother Larue Betsill; and his aunt Pauline Robinson-Reynolds. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
