He was predeceased by: his son David Kaplan; and his parents, Milton Kaplan and Gertrude Kaplan. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Kaplan; his son Michael Kaplan; his siblings, Diana Goldsmith, Sandy Kaplan (Gene Morgan) and Barbara Marks; and his granddaughter Novalee. He is also survived by mother-in-law, sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews and Dharma dog.
