She was predeceased by: her mother Mary Mielke; and her brother Mitch Cartrette. She is survived by: her husband William "Bill" Smitley; her children, Cathy and Billy; her grandchildren, Katlyn Phillips, Joshua Whitaker, Haley Smitley, Grant Whitaker, Cole Whitenack and Dylan Smitley; her brother Ed Cartrette (Wyolene); and her niece Kathy Sauer. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
