He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Mary Jo Wood; his children, Brian Griffin, Lisa Dunham (Michael) and Maria Henry (Scott); his stepchildren, Stephen, Teresa, John, Michael Gregg and Sarah Finley; his grandchildren, Amanda, Anya, Brady, Meghan, Jacob, Colleen, Kerrigan, Brendan, Diane, James, Allison, Nathan, Emilie, Gideon and Jonas; his siblings, Howard, Raymond, Herbert, Kenneth Griffin and Susan Standridge; and his parents, Herb Griffin and Evelyn Griffin.
