He was predeceased by: his brother Michael Allen Burgess; and his stepfather Terry L. Stumbaugh. He is survived by: his mother Catherine Keating Burgess of Delaware; his siblings, Melissa Stumbaugh and Timothy Stumbaugh; and his siblings' children, Landon, Connor Stumbaugh, Christopher Knauff, Jr. and Liliana Knauff.
