He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Lillian J. Kotula; his children, James T. Kotula (Marcia), Kathy K. Beard (Steve), Judi Kotula (Frank Sandor), Jacquie Lamattina, Sharon K. Williams (Dane), Candice Daley (Adam) and Kenny Kotula; his grandchildren, Adrianne, Ryan, Bradley, Collin, Christopher, Tyler, Brie, Ian, Gavin and Garrett; his great grandchildren, Emily, Lilly, Tony and Jimi; and his siblings, Felician Nun and Leona Kotula.
