She was predeceased by: her parent Kahihu Karanja. She is survived by: her mother Lilian Wairimu Kahihu; her husband Dr. Gacangi Kiruthi; and her children, Dr. Wambui Gacangi Kiruthi and Muturi Gacangi Kiruthi. She is also survived by several siblings and many extended family.
