He was loved and cherished by many people including: his cousin Don Renninger; his children, Ann Kimberly "Kim" (Steel), Denise Ann (McCall) and Walter Richard "Rick"; his foster children, Shirley, Peter, Charles, David and Paul; his brother Stanley "Stas" Scieszka; his sister-in-law Judith (Nixon); his niece Donna; his nephew David; his daughters, Daphne, Sabrina and Christine; his sister Joan (Rolek); his nieces and nephews, Diane, Cindy and Jackie; his close friend George Subrick; his child Campfire Girls Kim; his grandchildren, Jessica Lynn (AJ Kafka) and Christopher Thomas Steel; and his great grandchildren, Grayson Steel and Quad Kafka.
It was with his courage, strength, and love that he fought valiantly against COVID-19.
