McCardell Jr. and Sarah Virginia McCardell; his siblings, Mary Angela Ceshker (Greg), Susan Elizabeth McCardell, Patricia Agnes Moore (Bob), Carol Anne Clemmens (Mike), Paul Michael McCardell (Gen), Margaret Ellen Clemmens (Jim), Virginia Laurie Spurrier (Steve), Kathleen Amelia Pletcher (Chuck) and Sarah "Sally" McCardell Polen; and his sibling-in-law Thomas Polen. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
