He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Jo; and his son Richard Thomas Fitchett. He is survived by: his children, William W. Fitchett Jr. and Mary Clare Fitchett; his daughter-in-law Margo Fitchett; his grandchildren, Alison F. Climenhaga, Thomas W., Christina E. and Brooke E. Fitchett; and his sibling Tucky Dinning. He is also survived by three great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers or donations, take a kid fishing.
