She was predeceased by: her daughters, Betty Davis Zeigler and Nancy Bannon; and her siblings, Lockey Hanks, Carrie Dowell, Junior Nickols, Howard Nickols and Harlow Nickols.
She is survived by: her children, Anne Nelson of Perryville, MD, Joan Ayers (Charles) of Churchville, MD, Judy McVey (Larry) of Chestertown, MD and Walter Hanks, Jr. (Brenda) of Rising Sun, MD.. She is also survived by 6 children, 18 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren.
