He was predeceased by: his father Paul J Heckman, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Valerie Heckman; his sons, Colin Heckman and Shane Heckman; his mother Janet Beresh; his stepfather Robert Beresh; his stepchildren, David, Tyler and Alexandra Fuller; and his former wife Molly Levett.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ocean City Reef Foundation.
