He is survived by : his former life partner Shirley Gilliam; his sons, Jesse "Jay" Gilliam III (Roselyn) and Byron Gilliam (Judy Hines); his wife Diane Cobb-Gilliam; his children, Jessica Gilliam, Jaline Gilliam, Randall Newell and Terrance Gilliam; his siblings, John Gilliam (late Gertrude) and Patricia Adams (Donald); his nephews, JohnJohn Gilliam and Jason Adams; his niece Mia Gilliam Harrington (Dwayne); his grandchildren, Nicholas Gilliam, BJ Gilliam, Dominique Olin, Jalen Driver, Marcellus Newell, Elijah Newell, Paris Woodard, Diavionne Newell and Olivia Newell; and his great grandchild Soul Wiggins. He is also survived by other relatives, friends, and former coworkers.
