He is survived by: his father Chris Hemmingsen Sr. (Mary Ann); his wife Patricia; his stepdaughter Felicia Harper; his granddaughter Jasmine Johnson; his siblings, Dana Radtke (Robert), Brian Hemmingsen (Nana) and Megan Clarke; and his niece Tina Washburn (Chris). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving relatives.

During the pandemic, he discovered a new love for acrylic painting, adding yet another passion to his creative spirit.
